About the collection
Torre Abbey holds approximately 600 oil and watercolour paintings from the 18th to the mid-20th century. Works of note are Pre-Raphaelite paintings and drawings by Holman Hunt and Burne-Jones, Watercolours painted by William Henry Hunt and Thomas Miles Richardson and fine English glass, pewter and Silver collections from the 18th and 19th Centuries. A living building of Archaeology and Geology, Torre Abbey also houses a large collection of nationally important Archaeology from the buildings extensive excavations. Features and samples of this collection are captured in our interpretation and displays across the site.
